Day 1 – Friday, Dec 5: Arrival and Tree Jubilee Magic
Afternoon: Arrival at The Lodge at Wakulla Springs
- Check into your charming, historic room at the 1930s-era lodge
- Explore the grounds or relax in the grand lobby with its towering ceilings and cozy fireplace
Before 6 PM:
- Stop by the Soda Fountain and Ice Cream Shop before it closes at 6:00 PM
- Grab a classic milkshake, root beer float, or scoop of old-fashioned ice cream
Evening: Tree Jubilee at Bannerman Crossing
Bannerman Crossing, Tallahassee — about 30 minutes from the lodge
5:00 to 10:00 PM
- Tree lighting, live music, food vendors, kids’ crafts, and Santa visits
- Stroll through the decorated shopping plaza, enjoy a holiday meal, and take photos under the lights
Late Evening:
- Return to the Lodge and unwind by the fireplace or enjoy a classic movie in the downstairs lounge
Day 2 – Saturday, Dec 6: Springside Relaxation and Wildlife
Morning:
- Enjoy breakfast in the Edward Ball Dining Room
- Embark on a guided Wakulla River Boat Tour to spot manatees and native birds
- Learn more about the park at the official Wakulla Springs State Park page
Afternoon:
- Take a nature walk through the park’s Spanish moss-lined trails (trail map)
- Rent bikes for a warm winter day ride along the winding paths
